don’t be such a beach
hey all! spent most of the day today working on a shoot for an upcoming issue of time out. went all over the place to visit different beach bars. the rockaways, brighton beach, coney, staten island, etc. fun times! here are some outtakes:

i’ll be sure to update you guys when the story runs!
also, i had another online feature run this weekend, you can check it out here!
nerd alert!
i covered the new york regionals of the us air guitar championships last night for time out. i’ve had some embarrassing hobbies in my day, so i say this in the most loving way possible: it was so dorky! haha. but fun! my only complaint was that the female contingent was sorely under-represented. only one girl competitor!

it’s been a busy couple of days!
so busy, i don’t really have much to write about, but i still have photos to post from last weeks zootopia show that i shot for time out. for today, i have photos from flo rida’s set. i don’t remember much other than he had a huge “FLO RIDA” tattoo on his back, he liked pouring water on himself, and at one point invited like four pre-teen girls on stage to dance to his hit song, “low” which seems to be about strippers. (actually, from browsing select lyrics from his other songs, it appears that strippers are a popular them. git it, gurlz!)
after this, i’ve only got photos of jesse mccartney and soulja boy left for you. kelly clarkson also played at this show, but she requested that no photographers be in the pit taking pictures during her set. common consensus was that this is because some celebrity gossip sites have posted extremely unkind things about her weight/appearance during other recent performances. this bummed me out because i think kelly is great (since u been gone=#1 jam, 4eva!) and that she looks great, too.
but anyway, here are the pics of mr. rida:

also, if you’re reading this blog, don’t be shy and feel free to comment occasionally! i feel like i’m talking into a great big lonely void sometimes, but i know you guys are out there! haha.
