where is my motivation.
first no doubt and then tonight i totally photographed green day. the music of the mid-90′s is all up in my blog! if only i could go back in time and tell my teen self that this would end up being my life….
these guys put on a surprisingly impressive live show. i was into it. very fun, very high energy! it’s hard to believe these guys are like, middle age. also, i can’t help but gently ribbing on them by sharing this sweet little anecdote- once back when i lived in chicago, i saw billie joe armstrong at BARNEY’S and he was buying $50 socks. punk rawk, man!!! haha.
anyway, here is a little preview of the show, but be sure to check out the TONY music blog for more pics from the show. i saved the best pics for that, but these three are exclusive to my blog. ![]()

also, here is some other recent assignments i’ve had for time out! (as always, if you’re in nyc, keep an eye out for my pics in the printed version!) fron live music to food to parties to beaches…i’m a fucking jack-of-all-trades, y’all!
sand castles! coney island! summer fun!
amazingly beautiful and delicious indian food
gothsinhotweather.com, aka the gothic charm school tea party
exploring vernon boulevard in LIC
or if you want even MORE, just search for my name on the time out website. haha!
it’s been really wonderful working for them, i’ve gone on all sorts of adventures this summer…and it’s only halfway over! i’ve really got my editor over there, roberto, to thank for all of this. he plucked me from complete obscurity into regular obscurity
but seriously, i love what i’ve been doing lately and i love who i’ve been doing it for. roberto is also an amazing and accomplished photographer himself, please do check out his work!
you’re consuming me violently
look at this, here’s another! i’m an updating machine! these are long-overdue photos from the no doubt show a couple weeks back. how could i say no to photographing no doubt? even if i did have to trek all the way out to jones beach and i had The Most Traumatizing Trip Home Ever. overall, i think it was worth it. plus, one of my bff’s, alithea, would have straight-up MURDERED me if i hadn’t gone. also, as is the standard with most “big” shows, press passes generally only grant you access to photograph for the first three songs of the set, so i wasn’t able to capture all of gwen’s costume changes (and trust me, there were plenty!) but i think what i did get to be up close and personal for was fabulous. i think i mentioned it before, but g.s. is truly gorgeous in real life. no lie!

next up, pics from the gothic tea party in a cemetery that i photographed. no, seriously!
my head is in the sun
here is how i spent my sunday; at the latest weekly installment of the jelly pool parties at river east park in williamsburg, brooklyn. (aka “hipster beach”) it was hot and very sunny and i actually got a little bit of a tan. (and i am NOT a ‘tanning’ type of gal. haha.)

okay, so i really want/need a vacation. give me your suggestions for cheap & awesome places to get away for a weekend. (like airfare less than $250 round trip from nyc.)
you can’t hide, oh no, from the way i feel
man! i’m way behind on updates! i’ll get to it, i promise. eventually….
for now, here are some photos i took purely for fun at a laid back/casual wedding reception for jacob’s friends matt & marina that i attended as a guest this weekend. (the actual wedding was a couple of weeks ago and they held a separate reception this past saturday) one of the other guests who i didn’t know asked me if i was the ‘official’ photographer, and i laughed and said no…and that if i WAS, i was pretty shitty at it, considering i was sitting down, drinking, eating a cupcake and taking mostly pictures of just people i knew. haha!
